BAD TO THE BONE. | UNIF Hail Boobs Tee / UNIF Concho Belt / American Apparel Hot pants / LA Sock Market Socks / TOKYO BOPPER Shoes / Thrifted Hat
07.26.12. I am still in a state of shock since last night's meeting with Tavi Gevinson. Tavi and friends of Rookie Mag held a event called "Rookie Road Trip" where they take a huge road trip around the U.S. and LA was their last stop to hold events at Space 15 Twenty! Me and Larissa watched a screening of Clueless under the starless sky of LA and it was pretty freaking magical to finally meet Tavi! If you watch my Stylefilmer video you can understand my adoration and my star struck daze of finally meeting Tavi, but then meeting her made me realize that she's just a regular teenage girl, down to earth, kind, and charming.
Onwards to outfit details! I'm PSYCHED to finally wear my tokyo bopper platforms i bought from taiwan last summer! If you guys have been following my blog since then, you might have remembered me making gifs in my hotel room with these babies on! But surprisingly i had yet to really wear them out of the bedroom! And being able to finally wear one of my sacred shoes out in public to meet Tavi made soiling the soles of the shoes all worth it! Now that you know Tavi is a huge inspiration to me starting a blog, maybe its fitting to also say that japanese street style really inspires my outfits! I have been a HUGE fan of japanese street style ever since early middle school, i can't tell you guys how many japanese fashion magazines i own over the course of those many years. But my obsession with japanese street style has definitely traversed the years, obsessed with lolita japanese style in my younger years and now i'm really into more of the harajuku street style, you know the styles of likes of Juria Nakagawa, Eriko Nakao, japanese girls who shop at Nadia and own MAM Avantgarde Tights and strut the streets with Tokyo Bopper platforms on.. yeah i love them. And so my tokyo bopper platforms are a prized possession in my shoe collection, something that subscribers on youtube constantly ask me to make! I will definitely make one but the reason im stalling is because my shoes are literally EVERYWHERE in my house, sometimes they get lost and misplaced in nooks and crannies of my bedroom, only to be found when i am desperately in search of them to get dressed. So yeah.. please have patience on the shoe collection haha! I love you guys and i always will, thank you for supporting me and Style2bones and Stylefilmer! See and hear from you guys soon in my next post and video! I'm thinking of making the Questions video tomorrow! Stay bad to the boneee!~
